well, hope everyone here had a happy new year and everything...

well...here's my question....I have a number of mp3 files on my computer that I would like to play in other stereos around the house as well as in my car...what is the procedure for transferring these files onto a cd via a burner so that they can be played in the above mentioned players...that is if this can be done...also what software is necessary...? Thanks so much for your help...

Believe it or not there is another post about this somewhere you may want to do a search. As for me I have an HP cdr burner. I dl mp3's off napster ansd when I have enough for a cd I load up Adaptec EZ CD software which came with my burner. I use Winamp to convert my mp3 files to Wav format and then select them in my cd burner software. then I just click the "write disk" icon and I'm off. 15 minutes later I have a cd that can play in any cd player.
Points of Interest >
>I just got my Brother in law a burner for Christmas. He just burnes the mp3s directly he did not have to convert to .wav files. This is new to me.
>Some disks work better then others. Blue disks work for me every time. Golds don't. Other burners even of the same make and model can be different. Try the different type to find what works best.
>Some players have trouble reading CDR's I remember some people having problems on the factory S2K deck yet it works for me every time.
If this didn't help you just email me and I can answer your questions better.

I don't have trouble in my CD players with any CDRs but CDRWs the rewritable kind don't work in most.
