I dunno if everyone is aware, but picture-specific hosts like Photobucket are generally blocked at many workplaces with IT departments. So, websites like S2KI are not blocked, and can be freely accessed, but the pictures would not show up. This is especially a problem for WTS ads, since pictures would be critical to success.

Now, I understand most people do not have places to host pictures, and that's fine. But if you can have them hosted anywhere else, you should always use those alternatives first (like directly hosted at S2KI).

Sponsors should never use services like Photobucket--they really should have their own domain and host, else suffer in sales.

Anyway, I just wanted to bring this to people's attention, in case anyone didn't know.

It would be great if this would be mentioned in etiquette stickies.

Actually, if you are specifically targeting WTS posts, then they have to be members. Members all have galleries provided by s2ki.com. This is part of the perk for becoming a member. When you host your pictures on s2ki, the firewalls won't block the pictures.

 

meant for all posts, but especially true for wts ads. good point though. but i don't think people in general know how much of a problem this is.

there are other advantages to hosting on s2ki as well. for one, your pics will remain as long as you're a member, which i would think is probably more reliably unvarying than your photobucket account. so, when people look at your posts in the future, they still got pics to look at.
