Default Baby Discus Finally Hatched (pics)

My mating pair of discuss were successful for the second time. They have managed to lay the eggs, and the male has fertilized but the water conditions are never at the optimal range. This time looks like we have about a dozen new born.

Question.... don't you have to separate the babies? Won't the parents eat them?

WOW! That's pretty cool that you were able to get them to reproduce! I've never heard of anyone actually doing that w/ their fish! Congrats! Here's an E-Cigar!

They won't eat the babies unless they are spooked or the water conditions are not right. If they last until Wed they should grow to the same size and hopefully we will have another mating pair. Sucessiful mating pairs are worth some money!

A mating sucessiful pair runs around $300.00. I have two more pairs that have not been successiful but they have been mating.

God I'm worried about you Kwando... hope the weather gets better soon, so you can spend more time driving, and less time watching the bedroon antics of your fish! j/k! Got any good "fish porn?!"
