This whole thing is worrysome! I think kids should be just given a number until they're old enough to have some say in their own name! j/k
There's been a sort of swing back in recent years to more traditional manly names e.g Tom, Ben, Sam etc. I give the shortened versions because I think you realistically need to remember that if there's a shortened version of the name it's going to be used.
You're gonna trust the naming of your child to these wise guys? You should get yourself one of those baby name books.
