Scot, how about sonography? A friend of mine is doing it (already has a bachelor's degree) and they are pushing him through directly to clinicals after he finishes two courses in summer semester (biology and anatomy). That makes it a one-year course and you can make decent money when you get out. With a bachelor's degree, you can supervise the others and make $100K+ per year. It's health-care related so you'll always have work as well.

Additionally, in Texas (maybe the nation?), they passed a law regarding cardiologists having a sonographer check the heart of the patient prior to a surgical procedure. So, the hospitals AND private practices are needing sonographers for cardio-related work, not just the typical stuff (pregnancies, etc, etc).
i just checked it out.... of course there are not any schools near me and you have to be able to see colors.... I am partially color blind...

I cannot see the difference in colors if they are right near each other..... i can tell yellow from blue but not green from brown from red if they are all bunchd up.

Why don't you open your own business? It seems like you have enough business knowledge to be able to run one. Why don't you look into a hotel/motel?
hey..... any idea how to go about starting something that large? I started a little mortgage broker company a while back and did my rental house thing..... other than those I have not started any businesses.

Seems like I would need a lot more $ than I have in order to get somewhere with a motel / hotel....?

all idea's and help are appreicated.

D'oh! Didn't know that. Bummer.

You could insist on only working in black and white.

Though it may pain you, if you made some brown friends it might help. There are a lot of Indian people that run hotel/motel's quite sucessfully. I don't think you need that much collateral to get into it either.
