I'm really happy for BAR Honda. Their performance so far this season is light years ahead of what I've seen of them in previous seasons. Bahrain is the first race I've seen this season (no more SpeedTV at home ), but they are certainly getting more TV coverage for this race than any of the races I saw last year (before you see the occasional Honda engine failures, or maybe some coverage when Villeneuve is giving Schumacher a hard time). It's good to know that after all this time, they are finally contenders.


I wonder if they'd be doing even better if Villeneuve was still with them. After all, some argue that Villeneuve wasn't performing well because he didn't have a good car, and he was a world champion once. Then again, perhaps their improvement is because of Villeneuve's absence...

Ah well, regardless... to BAR and Honda

But yeah, they've both been doing really well, especially Buttons... I mean Button.

 

I guess since they didn't have to pay Villeneuve anymore, they suddenly have a lot of extra cash to do R&D?

 

Yeah, just imagine how fast the ferrari could be if they spent Shuey's salary on R&D instead ....

 

They are already leading, so I guess they can afford that luxury.

 

Okay, well think about how much cheaper they could make the 360 if they didn't waste all that money on his salary ...
