Basil plant advice please
everyone. I just picked my second basil plant (the first one died after a couple weeks, I thought it was supposed to be kept in water like at the store
).anyone have experience caring for these fun little guys? All advice is appreciated
Thanks very much ahead!!
I assume you mean sweet basil, it likes fairly well drained soil with full sunlight. Don't overwater, about one inch of water/week and use a low nitrogen fertilizer. Good luck!

My fiancee grew a basil plant last summer. She watered it regularly and it seemed to love hot, dry weather. No special care other than the top soil she planted it in. Made for some great red gravy for spaghetti.
