Default Beat a Ticket

Has anyone used any of the strategy guides/books on how to beat a traffic ticket? Do they actually work? Please make specific recommendations. I know there used to be a website called ticketassasin.com that sold those type of info but can't find them anymore.

Of course, if you don't mind sharing some tips here with me you're more than welcome to do so

Try ticketassassin.com, adding that missing s you should find it. It can work.

The correct URL for that website is:

http://www.ticketassassin.com

Personally, I don't put much stock in the "how to" books. A lot of what determines whether you're convicted is up to chance. Whether the cop shows up to court, whether the judge is in a good or bad mood, etc., will be greater factors than the actual merits of your case IMO.

Do a yahoo search for a "Ticket Lawyer" or "Traffic Lawyer" in your area. Typical cost is $100 bucks, which isn't bad considering you don't get any points and don't have to goto defensive driving.

Sure, your still out the $100 buck..but representing yourself is generally a bad idea--especially if it goes to trial.

Best way to beat a ticket is to get a local laywer (if you're in a state where the attorney for the state can make deals).
