I usually do one of the two things to beat a hangover..

1. Drink honey water...

or

2. If I still have some left, drink more beer. Serious! having a beer in the morning will make u feel better...no joke

Here's my hangover cure. It is proactive but even works if I forget the night before part.

Before I go out:
Lots of water, 2000mcg of vitamin B12 (the key ingredient of my method), 1-2 Pepcid, 2 multi-vitamins.

Day after:
Same as above with the headache cure of one's choice and 200 mg of caffiene (like a NoDoz.) For extra curative effect add one orange Popsicle (must be the name brand.)

Among my friends (and their friends) I'm renowned for my hangover cure. BTW, I learned about the B12 when working at an alcohol detox. On arrival alcoholics would ask for two shots, valium and B12. Valium is for the addition and B12 is for the hangover. Who's a better expert, I thought.

Lots of water, sleep, and sex.

XViper, you're right... I succumbed, but not by choice! It's been a rough day; I haven't had a hangover like this in at least 10 years! I found this morning that the only remedy that worked for me was sleeping it off, and I just fell out of bed a little while ago.

Needless to say, I'm not doing that again tonight, though the crime I committed for that punishment certainly was fun!

a hangover is a drug withdrawl, treat it as such. diminishing doseages of alcohol will help you ease your body back into balance. also sleep and advil.

The alternative approach is to just stay drunk

how about prevention?
Instead of just drinking, have some food too, to slow down the alcohol.

Indeed it does.
