How do you know how bad it is? I presume it is done with needles. Unless you are afraid of needles, it can't be that bad, especially for $5,000.
maybe a dumb question...but those eggs they harvest...aren't there only a certain amount you get? like...it's not like your body is constantly making eggs, but what you have left is all you have?

There was just a news special I watched about this topic. All of these hormones pose an unknown future health risk and they predict a large increase in your risk of cervical/ovarian cancer. They just haven't done this for long enough to see what the long term effects can be. If you feel funny about it and it seems too good to be true it probably is. I say stay away.

that home depot thing went right over my head.... i'm so confuzzled. how do you make $5000 standing in front of home depot for 2 weeks?
hygiene boy, what news special were you watching???
i wouldn't do it...but it's not my body.
we went through two IVF's. seeing my wife go through all the poking and prodding and stress related to IVF (shots, appointments, bood tests, etc.) for 60 days at a time was unbearable.....but we really wanted kids, so we did it.
i would have GLADLY paid an additonal $5K to NOT have her go through that (on top of the $15K per instance IVF payments in the first place).
we're also not hurting for $5K either....$5K would make no difference in our lives.
this is serious C...think about it long and hard. as mentioned, there are side effects too. you mentioned you're close to your mom...talk to her about it if you're able.
