Default Been in Japan over 2 weeks, yet I've...

I've been working in Japan (Tokyo, Yokohama and Sasebo) since April 16th, and in all that time I've only seen 2 S2Ks that were in the Roppongi area of Tokyo. I was really looking forward to seeing more S2Ks on their home turf.

I've seen lots of Mazda Miatas (MX-5s) and Mini Coopers; interestingly, while walking through the affluent embassy neighborhoods around Roppongi and Hiro'o, my wife and I saw MANY high-end Porsches, Bentleys, Mercedes AMGs, and BMW M5s.

The price of gas in Tokyo is about 150 yen per liter, which works out to about $5.50 a gallon for "regular".

We fly home tomorrow... can't wait to V-tec.

yeah....in korea, the gas prices are about 6 dollars/gallon for regular as well. Yet there are so many S classes, 7 series, LS 430s, and other high end gas guzzling cars there......makes me sad.

i don't see a lot, and I drive through Tokyo on my way home to Yokohama every (working) day. I do, however, live up the road from ASM and there are often a couple parked outside there.

I did see a bunch when I took mine around Motegi circuit, of course!

Yea my buddy stationed in japan(USAF) told me there's not too many of my cars around. I don't think two seaters are very popular there because most people only have one car.

Where is your buddy stationed? I lived in Yakoda and Tatchakawa when I was a kid and my dad was in the USAF.
