Default Best Factory Sound System's

I was just curious as to what everyone's experiences have been like with different car's factory audio system's. I personally have only heard the Bose systems in Nissan Maxima's and MB E430's and I found them to be quite good. I've also heard good things about Lexus's upgraded audio packages.

My Volvo C70 had the best sounding system I have ever heard! (my opinion).
It had a head unit by Alpine and DynAudio speakers!
...It really rocked ! !!

Lexus has the Mark Levinson stereo upgrade, which I heard was pretty nice.

I actually liked the Bose that my 2001 Miata had. It was really great for playing techno, trance, electronic music, etc..
I know a lot of Miata owners don't care for it but for my kind of music it was a great stock stereo.

Harmon Kardon ICE found in some standard luxury cars are pretty good. I can't remember which one was that when I sat in a couple with them.

My new IS300 has a Bose system in it and this thing sounds great! I'm going to add a bit more lows (real lows!) and then it will be complete. I see no reason to upgrade the factory speakers inside the car until I blow one, which might not take long the way I jam!

I agree with Shingles... I think Bose is highly overrated. My BMW had the Harmon Kardon system which was nice but I was looking at the Volvo C70 for a while and all I can say is WOW! That thing had a phenomenal stereo in it. Also, my 99 Eclipse GS-T had one of the best factory stereo systems of any car near that price range.

Has anyone heard the McIntosh stereo in an Outback VDC? It's supposed to rank right up there with the Lexus Mark Levinson setup....
