Hmm, not much experience with this, but maybe this site may help.

If you're really looking to go all out, the new Pronto has RF optional, making repeaters unnnesacary. A little pricy though.

I have the Marantz B&W version, and am a true believer in this. Something to think about if Santa was kind to you this year

I got my father a directivo for christmas. up until this point he has been using a Sony DSS unit with the RF remote.

Tivo has a IR remote and I need to repeat it inside the cabinet (equiptment inside a wood cabinet)

RCA (surprisingly) makes some very nice IR repeaters. You can get them at Walmart or Kmart for I think $40 for the base cube and $20 for every other cube.

Works very well, just aim at a cube and it RF's to the base cube.

Pretty decent range as well.

I think this would solve your needs. http://www.recotonaccessories.com/products...e/wireless.html (scroll to the middle of the page - DSC-IR100A). Receives IR - converts to RF - sends to other IR unit - unit sends out IR command. It comes with an IR emitter too.

This place has a decent price on it: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/direct/recwirremcon.html , though I've not dealt with them. $30 is the right price though.

I was actually doing some research on IR blasters for one of my clients. Here's a pretty good link with some info on IR repeaters.

You mean IR for remotes and not for actual sound signals, right?

Go with the Pronto.

Or checkout Remote Central for lots of info on remotes.

Hope this helps.
