Best place to get/buy MP3's?
Since all these busts on ppl for downloading music, I'm kinda reluctant to use Kazaa or iMesh like before. I've tried several programs/sites for music but they all sucked. I simply want to be able to download an MP3 to my HD for like $1 a song. Napster allows this but they are WMA files and can't be converted. Otherwise it would be perfect.
So, anyone know a good site or program to get music?
Thanks!

IRC is the best if you know which channels to visit. I'm not up to date on the current channels, but if you know where to go, it's far superior to Napster, Kazaa, etc., in terms of content. If you can get over the primitive user interface and lack of user friendliness, I promise you'll be able to get whatever you want from IRC - not just music, but games and other warez as well.
Why can't the WMA files be converted? What are you using to try and convert them? Just asking as I have never had a problem converting music from pretty much any format to another....
Another option is knowing people with ftp servers etc. I myself have about 15GB....roughly 3,500 songs available on my ftp
If you haven't already...try converting the wma's with the program I use to convert. It is called "DBpower AMP Music Converter" If you need any help, let me know and I'll do what I can to help you.

It DOES save to your HD.Tthe file however, IS NOT MP3.
iTunes distributes music in the new MPEG-4 audio standard, known as AAC.
AAC is available in 2 flavors, if you will. Filenames ending in .m4a are un-encrypted, meaning they can be shared infinitely among your friends, etc... Filenames ending in .m4p are protected. You still have complete fair-use rights to the file, and it can be burned to CD-R and/or re-ripped into MP3 or AAC, etc...
