And a father with a shotgun.

Buying real estate in South Florida during the 90's and renting it out
paying TURBO1RACER $1600 for wheels only to have him stiff me and never send them!

(he'll pay one way or another)

Best: Yes, 401k is definitely the way to go and do it when you are young. Also, I dollar cost average two mutual funds right after I started my first job after college. It wasn't much, $100 each mutual fund. But after about 10 years it accumulated enough for a down payment on a house. Let time be your friend.

I live in Vancouver, about 15 minutes from downtown. I don't go to Alberta much, so can't tell you about Banff.

I love Whistler Blackcomb though. Usually go up every Saturday during the season. It's less than 1.5 hour drive from my house.

Investing a huge percentage of my retirement savings into my own wireless business and trying to grow too fast.

Investing a huge percentage of my retirement savings into my own wireless business and sticking with it. Now, I have paid myself back the investment and have a significant income while working 20-25 hours per week. Now, I am starting on the next venture
