I remember some knuckleheaded computer wiz kid with way too much money having someone twinturbo his F50... it then ran about the exact same times as stock, but picked up a few mph in top speed..... wooohoooo... plus then it was even more unreliable.

John Carmack of id Software (Doom, Quake) has a Twin Turbo F40. some 800 or 900 HP.

If you ask me the F40 was one of the fugliest cars ever built.
The F50 is better but not by too much. Get those wheels off of there... barf.

That was one of the Doom founders. Much different than a Koenig F50.

It might not be pretty (next to the 550 barchetta, or 412P), but it certainly is my favorite ferrari. Pure racecar from factory.

All F40s are Twin Turbo.

You're right... Im feeling dumb. He does have (at least had) an F40, but his TT, 900+hp beast was a Testarossa.

I know the guys that build Carmack's cars. One of them was my crew guy on the racecar .
John sold the F40 and the reason he could not get a new F50 is because Ferrari only
leased them when they were new. So he bought a used one.
He wishes he would have kept the F40. He liked it better than the F50.
But neither of these cars are anything compared to the one he is building.
The bill just for the trans on the car he is building was 150k.
I keep meaning to get pics. I also want to get pics of the Integra funny car they are building and post them.
