Default Binocular Recommendation

Anybody know of a site that reviews Binocular.

I attempted a couple of camera site with little success. I regularly attend sporting events and do a bit of traveling. I'm looking for a smaller set, don't need to be walking around with the Hubble around my neck.

Based on initial research, I expect to pay $250 +/- for a good set.

Any input would be appreciated.

Michael

Make sure you test one with a built in stabilizer...it really helps!

Celestron Optima 9x63 -- big field of view, good power, excellent optics, good eye relief with fold down eyecups for the eyepieces. About $250.

You can get any from the large optics manufacturers that will be suffiicent for your needs. Some brands I can recommend:
- Nikon
- Leupold
- Leica
- Swarovski
- Zeiss

I've had or used some of all these binocs, and they're all great. I used them mostly for hunting, but they'd work well for anything else you can throw at them. The last 3 brands are gonna cost mucho $$, but they're well worth it, as their performance and clarity are unrivaled; check them out anyway.

Love my Zeiss 10X40s. Razor sharp images with no false color. They are 20 years old now, so I just sent them to Zeiss to get them serviced. They did the service "under warranty" and didn't charge me a dime. Awesome!
