So I'm walking near my manager's office this afternoon when I hear a huge thud. It sounded like someone hit the wall really hard, then I hear laughter and, "Holy Shit!" -among other expletives. I wander in and see my manager and some co-workers pressed up against the big glass window looking at the ground. I squeeze in and see this rather large pigeon gasp its last breath - quite sad

Anyway, thought some of you might find this funny Wish I had my digital camera at work...

I was in the gym one saturday morning when a hawk, chasing some doves at a very high speed, crashed through a plate glass window. Man, was it an ugly scene -- and the whole building shook.

I used to live in a 3-story apartment building onthe top floor. One day I heard a big *THUD*. I was like WTF? I couldn't find the source so I gave up looking. A couple weeks later I notice an "imprint" on the outside of the window - I can make out wings and a head. Imagine what a bird would look like if you pressed it flat and spread out its wings. Apparently, when it hit, it left a dust impression of itself flattened out on the window. Funny when I realized what it was.

I've had the crap scared out of me by a bird hitting the window too.

Last year I was stopped at a light in Pasadena in my S with the top down. A pigeon flew in front of me about 10 feet off the ground. A peregrine falcon in a vertical dive -- must have been going 200 mph -- snatched the pigeon in midair, turned on a dime, and flew straight up again. It absolutely blew me away.

Ouch! When driving my old car, I was on the highway going about 75 mph. I passed underneath a bridge, only to have about 150 pigeons fly out from underneath it. All I could see were gray/white blurs. One hit the windshield right were the rear view mirror is, and when I looked back, all I see is feathers everywhere. Poor pigeon.
