If I'm wearing pants, I'm wearing black socks. I don't want to keep track of white vs. black socks depending on what shoes I'm wearing, and I feel white socks with dark shoes is a bigger no-no.

Most people can't see my socks under my pants anyway.

If I wear shorts, then it's short (ankle) white socks.

EDIT: My wife judges peoples' style; I want people like her to look at me and move on because what I'm wearing is normal and boring.
