I see countless of people wearing socks with sandals all the time. If you think about it, the socks defeat the purpose of wearing sandals - that is to let the stink from the toes escape.

Those Addidas slides, we nickname them Terrorist Slides, also let's us know your a inlander.
Black socks with white tennis / running shoes makes you look like a Fry's customer that doesn't have a GF to tell you to remove your pocket protector
