Blackberry & GPS
So, I have a Blackberry 9700 Bold, and I'm wondering if there is an app (free) that I can use for GPS & maps. I signed up for the free 30 days of AT&T Navigator, but haven't actually tried it out yet. I just have no interest in paying $10/month for that kind of app.
Anybody know if there are better & free options out there?

The closest one I can think of that's free and good that I use on my iphone and curve is google maps.
Sure it doesn't give you turn by turn voice guidance but it's good enough, I look at the overview before I'm leaving and memorize the simpler routes or leave it open and have a quick peak while I'm on the road.
If I know I'll be doing extensive driving and will need it all the time, I just use my stand alone gps which I've never used in Dallas and only in Chicago while travelling.
Things in Dallas are so easy to get to, I don't see a need to have anything but google maps on your phone.

^ lol.. downtown always gets me turned around. Too many 1-way streets and non-90-degree intersections. I was at Zaza last weekend, tried to head back north to get out of town, and instead found myself on 45 South.

Well the thing with google maps is that it doesn't do text to speech.
Ive never found this to be a big issue for me, i just glace at the phone and follow the written step by step written instructions.

GPS apps always costs to buy them and costs certain amount just to use them... like monthly fees
And now, a handful of Nokia owners.
