this is pretty much what happened...

the following tues and wed (after the first date), he asked if he could come and workout with me. so i said, "sure." but both times after our workout together, he insisted that i come home with him... so tuesday, i told him that i was exhausted from work and the workout, but wednesday, i told him that he was moving too fast for me. his response was.... "oh ash...(googly eyed) it's just meee (whiny voice). we've known each other for what, 2 yrs now? let's get to know each other better (with a huge grin and he winked)." it took me awhile to comprehend what he just said. i stood there next to my car in disbelief. so....i told him i was not going back to his place and granted we've known each other for 2 yrs and just started going out....it doesnt' mean it's time it get intimate. he was not happy. i actually thought i knew him better than that but i guess not.

the next day, he tried to fix his "mess up" from wednesday night by asking me to join him after work for drinks. so, i went. when we got there all he said was, "i'm sorry i pressured you. i just have this crush on you for so long and thought we had an advance start-- and that we were seeing eye to eye on things. you made me so hot for you at the gym. if only you knew what you look like when your body's glistening with sweat (ok, at this point i'm thinking --does he have any idea what he's saying? ughh. guys can be sooo stupid at times)? i have a thing for sweaty girls (ewwww!!! then he called me ashley, which he knows i don't like). ashley, i know what you're gonna say. but i don't care. you need to know how i feel about you." O!, MG! he's got some balls (i'll give him that much credit), but not exactly what i expected to hear. so...i said, "brandon, we can't continue like this. i like you. but i only see us as friends..." i wasn't even done telling him how i feel and he stormed out and left me their to pay for the drinks.

then friday at lunch, a co-worker told me that he'd e-mailed everyone i worked with and told them i broke up with him after i'd had my big O. yup, her words exactly, " ...you broke up with him after your big O. as in orgasm. as in sexual intercourse, ash. everyone received an e-mail." she got out the e-mail he sent and showed it to me. i was so mad i cried.

i went back to work and on my desk were a dozen roses from my coworkers. the card read, "cheer up, he's a jerk and we all know it!"

even now, when he sees me at work, he acts like nothings ever happened. so, i just let it be. there really is not point in causing more turmoil at work.

i have absolutely no regrets. only gained more wisdom from this...

ash

Sorry to hear what happened. He was truly a jerk and obviously doesn't realize what a good thing he had. You've got a great attitude about it, though, Ash.

Hope this experience doesn't keep you from taking chances on the next one...
