Blood Donation
So I have never been able to give blood. For years people have gotten on my case whenever there's a work blood drive, or anything blood donating related. Hey, I'd love to go! Apparently the cookies are pretty good, and they even give you juice! But no. My excuse: I don't, er, didn't weigh enough.
Well, finally my fat ass has hit the required weight to donate! So what do you know, I'm still not eligible. Apparently being an army brat, or even being associated with the Military is a bad thing when it comes to blood donation. The Military can put their lives on the line, but you don't want their blood. If you've lived in Europe, or for that matter, anywhere else in the world, they don't want your blood. I'm not eligible because I may have mad cow disease? really? REALLY?!?! It was over 20 years ago! Didn't think Mad Cow disease could take almost 20 years to rear it's ugly head.
So no donating blood for me, and no juice and cookies.
Anyone else donate blood? other than getting money for plasma? Guess if I'm ever tight on money this is not an option for me.

Did you at least take some juice and cookies?
I can't donate blood because I'm never in the country for more than 6 months.
Still haven't tried plasma or sperm.
Senor has the hook up for plasma in San Antonio.

actually, depending on where you get your tats done, those won't disqualify you (assuming they were done at a reputable shop)

At least now people won't get on your case about it now that you know
