The 330 with a proper manual tranny and the sports package is a damn fine car (in either coupe or sedan form). The S should out-accelerate, out-brake, out-corner, etc. the BMW any day of the week. Simply put, the S is a hi-performance single purpose sports car. The BMW is a sports coupe or sports sedan.

Take your buddy to a local track and bet him dinner. you should walk all over him.

Having said that, he will have to drive you and your dates to dinner if you go together. That's the trade off.
