A BMW certified M Roadster can be had for a cheaper price than a new S2000. I did not know this until I did a search on autotrader.com.

I'd like some unbiased or attempts at unbiased opinions on this car in comparison to the beloved S2000. For me, it's got torque and being my first car, it's got the blingin' name.

Very interesting. Mileage varies; here's what a search turned up: http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/results...ke=BMW&x=73&y=7

P.S. SpaceNeedle, be sure to check insurance rates on the BMW versus the stook; I think there will probably be quite a difference.

Weird...Go figure...And most of them are over 40K with at least 11K miles.

If you're getting a used M Roadster cheaper than a S2000, it'll have ALOT of miles on it. unless you plan on getting it from a third party which doesn't sound like it if it's BMW certified.

I got my stook used for $30k w/900mis which is another option.

As far as the M Roadster there are several negatives working against it. It's using a old BMW chassis, they use the older Z3 bodystyle (love it or hate it, I like the new version better), it's got a 5spd gearbox (a complaint with some) BUT it's got a great motor, albeit not the one Europe gets or the new S54(?) engine that will be put in later this year, but still full of lovely torque.

I went to take a look at the new M Roadster with the new 315 horsepower engine at the Houston car show. What is dissapointing is that the body is still the same.

Disappointing to you, but very pleasing to the many Z3/MR owners out there in this world.
