MEh. If its still running, run a good detergent through it....maybe Trans fluid? Run it for a few thous, rinse with crap oil, run for a couple hundred, rinse again. I bet it'll be pretty nice looking - as for the wear that was caused by no lube....well, too bad.

My buddy didnt change the oil in his VW Van for 20k and the thing blew its bearings.

My brother pulled the same trick in a brand new 91 CRX HF for about 25,000. I checked his dipstick before he was about to head 300 miles back to college and it looked like mud. I asked him when was the last time he changed the oil, he said, "Ummmm, you have to change the oil?"

Car was still getting 50+ MPG though and he still never had any problems with the car up to about 70,000 miles when he sold it.

I also know a girl who tried to change her own oil and kept putting in quarts until it was full up to the top of the valve cover. In her defense, she was pretty hot.
