I think it has to do with pushing the cartilage from your nose into your brain to kill you. Most people get their nose whacked sideways and broken, not shoved up into their heads.

Not cartilage. Your nose has a sliver of bone in the center, dividing your sinuses. Theory is if you hit someone hard enough center-on in their nose, you could break that and send it into their frontal cortex.

Urban legend.

Remember the term "frontal lobotomy"? People used to have instruments inserted into the front of their brain through their eye sinuses, and swished around in there to disrupt the brain. And they became vegetables, mostly... but they lived. Much of personality is housed in frontal cortex. You could turn someone from an arrogant jerk into a soft spoken idiot, but it's unlikely you'd kill them by sending that nose bone into their brain.

By the way I'm a HUGE VW fan. My first was an '89 GTI 16v 1.8 bored out to 2.0 with the 50mm VW Motorsport Intake runners, Shrick 273 cams, Supersprint header to muffler, bilsteins, Nequspeed 25mm front and 28mm rear sway bars, Recaro SRDs, BBS full body kit, and 15x7" Momo Star wheels. Boy I miss that car!

You have a chunk on nerves next to your nose called mas ganglion. Hit the guy a certain way and you splinter stuff in that area. Causes severe facial neuralgia. Translation huge pain. Do it right the brain shuts down because of pain, do it right and real hard, you kill the fool.

Yeah, I would get mad if my nose points to my right after a match too .

A guy on my swim team got bashed in the nose by someone coming off a turn. His nose was so messed up you wanted to vomit after seeing it. That guy in the gif wasn't bad at all.

You can't kill someone by hitting them in the nose. It only happens in Hollywood. Apparently, actors have different anatomy than the rest of us. They also fall down and don't get up after one punch, if anyone doubts actors are fragile beings lol.
