Although this is predominantly a metal thread and this is technically Hardcore, "Catharsis - Passion" is and possibly always will be in my top 5 favorite albums of all time, just listening to this song made me have to listen to the album all the way through. I mostly stick to the classics, but Karnivool is one of my all-time favorite bands. "Themata" is either my first or second favorite album of all time. They sell out giant arenas in Australia, but I got to see them at a basement club show, with maybe 50 people in attendance- awesome!

Porcupine Tree is one of my other favorites, but they might be a little too prog for the hardcore metal fans out there.
