There has been alot of research (and many of it hitting the news just a few weeks ago) about how lobsters are nothing more than insects of the ocean. As are all crustacians (sp?), hence the name mud-bugs for crayfish.

however, people (humans) tend to place value on the extreme of anything. We value an Enzo more than a Kia b/c it's "more extreme". We like a F22 more than a Cesna for the same reason.
