Default Bubble in tire = Bad?

I have a bubble in my right front tire from hitting a 'city titty' and I was wondering how big of a problem it could cause. My tire buldges out and almost looks like a wrinkle in my tire. It's only about an inch and a half long. The tires are about 3 weeks old and came on my new car. They are Dunlop performance tires, but can't remember the exact type.

A city titty is one of those 4 inch tall bumps that keep you from running into the turn lane on accident. I was actually trying to turn in and clipped it. It was quite a bump but I didn't think much of it. This car is a little bigger than the S!

I have been told that it is very dangerous because the outer wall of the tire has been weakened, and if you blow it at highway speeds, you are in trouble.

Yes, I would definitely get that tire replaced ASAP. Since you said the tires are only a few weeks old, you could probably get away with just replacing that one tire which is better than having to buy two new ones. That's all depending on how much you've already worn them down though.

If the bulge is a result of damage caused by hitting something, I'd get the tire replaced ASAP. A small price to pay to know your tires won't come apart at highway speeds.

You may see if the damage is covered by a Road Hazard (if you bought that coverage).

Also, I thought those things were called Municipal Nipples

Lol thanks guys. They are the Dunlop SP Sports 9000's (215/45ZR17). I can get them from discount tire online for about $150, but NTB wants $208. I'm still going to call around before I get one, but it should be tomorrow and I don't drive far home. Hey Lips stop stalking Andy!

If the tire separated, go to the store where you bought them and have them warrantied! Separation is not acceptable, regardless.
