Buick Roadster
Just did a panel feed back on a proposed roadster to be made by Buick. In concept its a 4 seater 4 door with the top up. When the top is down (folding hard top) back seat is the only storage as the trunk is all top. They were talking over 270 hp and looking at SC or Turbo as options.
The car looked like a Riveria with the top cut off. I can't picute Buick getting into this market. The image just doen't fit.

November's Car and Driver talks about two buicks in one of the editorials. The Bengal looks like a stretch convertable TT and the other is a Buick Blackhawk. The blackhawk is retro and has a 1940's look to it. Buick probably can't make a roadster that handles well and/or is quick, so hopefully they will persue the blackhawk.
I found this pic of the Bengal:

Basically, "this market" consists of people who refuse to buy imports, but are repulsed with the 'modern' style big 3 products, and would rather drive something that looks 30 years old than any modern domestic design. Small market
Of course, between WI (harleys) and MI (big 3), I know enough people who refuse to even consider a "rice burner" (even an Accord which is more then 80% american content) or european car, yet complain constantly about their big 3 product's flaws.
Oh, they're both ugly, IMO
