The company was not commenting on the incidents, except to say that all the safety measures were in place and that at the end of the day, it was a good news story because nobody was hurt.

Who issued the permit? WTF would you allow that kind of demolition to take place without closing off the street to all traffic? I'm not sure I expect the company to care one way or the other if the city doesn't.

I watched on the news tonight another camera angle of the lamp post coming down. It landed in a cross walk. There where no people crossing, but there was a Prius taxi cab that swerved away from it. The company is appearing before a work safe committee.
