Wasn't sure what forum to post this in, but here goes.

Anyone know the ballpark cost for constructing a commercial kitchen from scratch? Probably looking for a small, 1200 sq. ft. area, with a decent-sized kitchen probably taking about a quarter of the space. It should have all the basic amenities, but nothing too wayward. It's more of a quick-service cafe than anything, and is not a full on sit-down restaurant.

Any input greatly appreciated, thanks.

Ground up? Turn Key? What's the location?

Wild guess but I would say 250k. 75 for allowances on the kitchen stuff.

are you planning to install a walk-in? cuz thats $$

if not, i'd estimate 150k'ish. 250 seems way too high for a 300 sq ft kitchen.

i guess it really depends on where you're located.

If you buy used, you can squeeze it under 100K. Brand new everything, at LEAST 175K. The hoodwork alone is 50K.
