Default Mingster's selling based replies

Ming,
Why are alot of your replies oriented towards you getting something out of it.. For example, if I said I was buying a CAI, you would reply and suggest yours to me and then put a . Just something I have been noticing

revhard,

I get the fact that you are not into the full court press when it comes to folks pushing products on you. While I agree that calls to my house and other unrelated mailings are a pain in the backside, I really appreciate folks like Mingster here in this forum.

He and his brethren have scanned these posts, listened to our needs and provided us with some very valuable products to enhance our garage queens. How many companies would have made one piece floor mats to cover our entire foot area, roof well liners to protect our plastic windows, headrest inserts to help with airflow, etc. (sorry Mingster if none of these were your products) as quickly as these folks have?

I have to admit that I was applauding a one-piece floor mat from "hondaclub.com" in a post when either Mingster or Muz chimed in to ask me what I liked and didn't like about it. At first I was annoyed, but the follow-on products that came to the market were not only better than what I purchased, but sold at a reasonable price.

Long story short, I love what the free market economy has done for us, but I agree with you revhard, that on occasion it becomes a bit intrusive.

Good night!

like others have stated, we (import development) sell products, and if you're looking for a CAI, we carry a full line of CAIs from AEM to Spoon. also, newbies may not know what we sell or what we don't sell. if you feel offended in any way to targeted marketing, then i apologize.

I have no problems with this at all. Sponsors like Mingster keep this board running. He also contributes in many, many other ways to keep this forum entertaining and enlightening. Sometimes when I'm sorta sitting on the fence about buying a particular product because I'm not sure what I want, I don't mind a little "prod" to help me along. If Mingster didn't seize these small opportunities, then he'd be a stupid business man. If I have my mind set on something other than his product, his post wouldn't affect me anyway. In either case, it doesn't bother me. Don't let it bother you.

I don't think you could ever accuse Mingster of shoving products down our throats. But if you're asking for something and he can supply then you'd both be missing out if he kept quiet.

And he does seem to apply the Homer Hudson approach to marketing: "Find out what people want; give them lots of it!". Now if only it wasn't so expensive to ship that dang exhaust!
