Btw, if I recall correctly, outlawing advertising via unsolicited faxes killed off fax spam (though it wasn't called that at the time) overnight. You didn't go after the actual person who sent the fax, nor try to add special 'fax charges' or any such thing, just go after the advertiser - they're ultimately responsible.

Easy when the faxes are local calls, and the faxer generally local, too (spam faxes via long distance is not cost-effective). Try that with free email and a whole world to email from.....
