Damn nice. Too busy to write a review of the car? Did the car come from New Jersey?
The car is wonderful. Very comfortable. All kinds of electronic gadgets. 10-speaker Bose stereo. Five driving modes: touring, wet, eco (four cylinders shut down and 30 mpg on the highway), sport, and track, each with different exhaust and suspension settings and different dash displays, including tach and speedo. I feel like a rock star. Everywhere I go, the car draws a crowd. People yell out their windows at me. 460 hp. I have to baby it until the 500 mile break in, but it goes 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and pulls 1.08 Gs on the skidpad. I feel like a rock star. Everywhere I go, the car draws a crowd. People yell out their windows at me.

There is a 4-6 month wait on orders from the factory. Kerbeck Chevrolet in Atlantic City, NJ is the largest Corvette dealership in the world: 90 in stock or in transit from the factory in Bowling Green, KY. I picked out the exact car I wanted when it was on a rail car somewhere between Bowling Green and Atlantic City. I arranged for my own shipping. A big transporter showed up at my house last Thursday. All of that took only 10 days, including bad weather in the East.
Awesome. Now where is that video of you driving backwards at 55 mph!!?

I read an online C7 review last week. "when you push the start button, the C7 doesn't just fire up, it announces itself like a lion falling through a nursery roof."

Congratulations. Cool deal on getting it shipped, interesting that they went ahead and slapped a license plate on it. Are the chrome wheels standard? Never been a big fan of chrome but it seems all the C7s I have seen have chrome or black wheels. Just wondering if regular ole grey/silver is an option or not.

The paper plate is temporary, good until 2/25. I have to get CA registration by then. Silver painted wheels are standard. That's what I wanted. However, the car I picked out had chrome wheels. I'm glad I got them, even though they're a $1,995 option.

Great purchase - I'm still debating whether I want one. Waiting on a test drive once winter is over.

Did you drive one before you bought it or did you buy it without knowing if you liked how it drove?

I drove one first at a local dealership.

Very pretty! My dad has one order, the wait has been brutal! Constant delays for options (comp seats, suede interior / wheel & carbon duel roof) can't wait to dive it from Chicago to Scottsdale in a couple months! Did you test the coupe? How is the vert wind noise on the highway?

Yes, I test drove a coupe. Wind noise is less than the S2000.

Sexy ~ drop top too!

Lowered with the proper wheels and exhaust this thing will be a pure beast! I like the rich caramel interior, not a fan of red cars but it is a classic color combo.

Congrats!
