Calling Bonsai Gardeners
Hey folks,
I've always had a fascination with Bonsai gardening. I'm a green thumb by nature, but these magical trees have always interested me.
I tried growing one outdoors back at home in the UK, but failed miserably. Since I'm now in Calgary Canada where winter lasts almost 7 months of the year at times, I decided a little indoor gardening was in order.
I picked up a Serrius (sp?) aka Tree of a Thousand Stars at the local garden centre this weekend for a great price. The little beaut's appx. 6" in height and about the same across.
I hear now that these are some of the most difficult species to care for, especially for beginners.
Any of you out there have some tips? Any experiences you'd care to share? Heck, show me your Bonsai collection!
Cheers
Asif
