Calling out Mikecl713 in NC!
I'd be pissed about the fact that the rear studs have to be extended, he didn't tell you that when you bought them did he? That's
if that is the case then he should send you the extended lug nuts or reimburse you for their cost.

Well I don't know of any aftermarket rims that are built just for this car they are built for cars with x pattern not just this one specificly. I'm thinking the only thing you should be pissed about is having to go and buy extended lugs. If he does the right thing he'll give you the cash for those. Otherwise I'd say buyer beware on the it fits but not perfectly....
i am totally lost here.... if the pattern is 5x100 you could not even get the wheel to mount to the S2000 at all..... the studs would be hitting somewhere other than where the holes are.
mikecl713 is saying he used the stock lugnuts when these were on his car???
did you look at the offsets before you purchased? it says "17*8 rear (32 offset)"...... a 32 offset in the rear would stick out pretty far. Was that just a typo? should it have been 52 in the rear?
His last "for sale" post says they are 45mm (he thinks) for the rears.....which sounds more correct.
take a picture of these wheels on your car (on the jack, since you cannot get the lugs on)....that would certainly help.

If the holes are deformed and not truly circular then that would explain why you're able to get them on the lugs.... but they should be circular. Sounds like someone did a hack job and tried to modify the rim holes by opening them up a bit to fit onto the lugs. Even if they fit on the car I'd be concerned with them being slightly off center and not balanced. They'd wobble pretty severly when you started rolling.
I'm purely speculating here, so I apologize for maybe adding fuel to your fire. But it sounds like these originally didn't fit on the s2000 and someone made them fit. Powdercoating over the hacking would probably mask any of this. IMO... don't put them on your car.

In the January post, it says the rear offset is 32. That is definately way out of whack for our cars. In the May post, the offset magically changes to 45 in the rear. To me, that is questionable enough. Add to that the fact that the bolt pattern is 5x100 and not 5x114 (as our cars require) and the fact that the bolt pattern is not mentioned = shady.
But in this work-a-day world of lawyers and waivers, let the buyer beware. That being said, I believe that as much relevant information that the buyer has at the time of the for sale thread about the item for sale should be posted. Any information that comes out after the initial post should also be posted as an update. Potential buyers should ask all questions that need to be asked to insure the item they want is for them. This is how I conduct my business and I must say that, *knocks on wood*, so far with over 100 transactions on Ebay, here and honda-tech, everything has been satisfactory (With the exception of a shipping screwup that was the fault of Mailboxes Etc.. I had two packages and they placed the wrong shipping label on each. They did promptly correct the mistake. I have since moved to using USPS as it is cheaper and more reliable.).
Good luck getting this worked out.
I am curious as to the response of the seller. I wonder why he doesn't chime in on this?...
