My one neighbor always calls me Cracker.....just like on Southpark.... he is a white guy (so am i... i think)....

anyway.... I told him to stop it around my kids because that would probably get them kicked out of school........ he started arguing with me about it saying there is no way anyone would get in trouble for calling someone a cracker.

you were right to tell him to stop in front of your kids. he may just have been defensive since you never mentioned it before and just brought it up. just calmly explain to him why this is NOT okay with you and if he refuses do the shame on you sign little kids do with their fingers.

 

I think my cracker neighbor now understands.... he does have a daughter that they constantly swear in front of, etc.... but girls are often different than boys....

my dad swore in front of us and I got kicked off the bus in 4th grade for swearing...... I never swear around my kids unless I am extremely pissed....... I decided I didn't want history to repeat itself on the getting kicked off the bus thing.

Just kidding! Calling each other names for fun is fine, but doing it around children is a no-no.
