Default camera people, need your input on this old camera

it belonged to my dad and he was going to give it away to his co-worker for free . good thing i caught him before he gave it away.

how much do you think i can get for these. it is a canon t90 with one canon 35-70mm 1:3.5-4.5 lens and one canon 50mm 1:1.8 lens. all in great condition. no scratches or blemishes on the lens. the flash is from a company called chance.

Did you look on ebay? Not 100% sure about camera equipment, but it's generally a good litmus test for the value of items.

$300-400 retail, tops, for the package. Maybe $100 bucks if he sold it to a used camera place. If your pops wants to give it away to a friend, how is it any of your business? Chances are, what it is worth to your dad, and what it might be worth to his co-worker has little relation to retail value. It's an old camera with life still in it. Nothing special, and certainly nothing of exceptional value. Let your dad make his own choices :/

BTW, "the right price" is whatever it sells for at any given time. Someone might pay more, for their own reasons, and someone esle might just give it away, again, for their own reasons. Ebay isn't really the place to go to find out what you or anyone else should do. It is only a place to find a buyer or seller for something.

Funny you posted that, I was thinking the same thing, for what they seem to be going for on Ebay, maybe his coworker wants to give it to his kid to get into photography, that would be more satisfaction then a couple hundred bucks

the co-worker is not aware of this. its not like my dad told him that the camera will be given to him. my dad was cleaning out the closet and found the camera. looked at it and said, "i dont need this, i'll give it to so and so". i looked at him and said, let me sell it. and he agreed.
