Default government's light not on?

reference:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/americas/01/...reut/index.html

this is the cnn article where Canadian minors are safe because they had the setup what we apparently do not? why are the Canadians with success and we are not? a while back were they not the dork?

every time bad events pull the curtain back there is not even a wizard behind them.

can anyone name something recent the federal government has done good beyond fema.

if someone blew up LA bet it would be 10 minutes before they noticed anything gone.

Safety Standards in other countries cost money. As a shareholder, I'm pissed off that the Canadian government is cutting into the bottom line with which I make my money.

The issues behind the article are a no-brainer.

The original post though. . . I have a team of scientists working on deciphering it. I pulled them off the SETI project. They say they'll have a translation possibly as early 2008.

The only polititical issue that this thread highlights is the appalling state of US public schools and their inability to impart the most basic of English writing skills to students.
