Default Can anyone here help me with MS Outlook...

When I open an e-mail and try to save an attachment by doing a right-click --> Save As on the attachment, it doesn't have the option listed on the menu. It use to have it, I used it all the time. Now just the last few days, that option has disappeared. I've search the net for some info, but came up with nothing. Anyone of you know what the heck is causing that option to disappear.

If you open the message in its own window, not the preview pane (try double-clicking on it) can you then do the right-click save-as?

I don't use the preview pane, I always double-click on the e-mail to open it on its own window. It allows me to use the File ---> Save Attachment, but that's not what I'm use to. I prefer to just be able to right-click on the attachment and then be able to Save As.

You have any idea what could be the cause?

If you are using Outlook XP, you can either:

1) select File => Save Attachments or
2) Right-mouse-click the attachment in the "Attachments:" line underneath "Subject:" and select "Save As..."

Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add-Remove Programs->Microsoft Outlook->Uninstall

Also works for other Office programs.

I had this problem the other day. Appearantly OE6 decided that some types of attachments were unsafe and would prevent me from saving them.

Tools|Options
Select the Security tab
uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus."
