Can you believe this crap? I couldn't!

I was thinking of taking a trip perhaps to France or that area. Let me ask, if your whole country is as negative towards american citizens as you are or seem to be. Or maybe this is just a front you put on, in either case if your additude is the norm maybe this american should take his vacation somewhere else. This is simply a question from someone who has never been to your country.

You should definitely come to france, most people are friendly.
Just avoid the Parisians (like me), who are quite snobby and I guess are the equivalent of how NewYorkers are perceived in the US.
Sorry for being a bit cynical and provocative, but it's just too tempting sometimes, and since this is mostly an all-american site, you guys never get a different opinion. I am in fact amused by the reactions my "teasers" generate, I always get the same answers : "who saved you from hitler" and "french girls don't shave their armpits". Plus sometimes some weird comment about french pple loving Jerry Lewis... (??)
It's also very easy to have a critical point of view, because we are so over-exposed to american culture since so many years that we feel like we know everything about you, and that you know nothing about us (especially not our language). This sometimes makes me feel like a scientist who has studied a phenomenon or a species for years in a lab, and who finally goes out in the real world to face practical experiences....ok, I'm going a bit too far ...I think I lost the sense of what I wanted to say........ anyway, come to france, we have good cheese, nice roads and lots of baguette!

Come on dude.. He's right. Unless you live in some tiny town, the police WILL laugh at you. It was a minor prank that some kids played on someone. It was water, not urine or some other foul liquid. No need to pick on the French.

Were you refering to the playful exhuberance of a water balloon fight or the unleashing of high-powered assault weapondry?
Both seem to harken the begining of summer these days!
I met this one french girl at the airport on my way to england. She was very nice, but she admitted that some french don't like americans. There were other french ppl there, and they weren't nice she told me.
