This is a great program I've used multiple times on dying HDDs, a flash drive with files I accidentally deleted, and an external HDD I accidentally clicked format on but quickly pressed cancel (but lost all visual contact with files).

Recuva is okay. Data-recovery-software is not too bad. Recover my files I have never used.

What Shinigami said is completely true. Though it also varies between the manufactures of the hard drives that everyone uses. There is a way of recovering the information on the drives even if it was re-written with new data. But the time spent trying to process is really not worth it for just pictures.

If anyone ever formats or deletes information on magnetic drive should always minimize the time you use it until you had it recovered for the best results.

I can usually recover 1.5x the data from drives but I hate sometimes leaving the computer on overnight just to process information. But it's interesting to see how you can recover 150gig from a 99gig drive sometimes...haha
