Canadians are buying the crap out of Autos
I just found a Lexus for my uncle - he came all the way to Texas to get it. He saved between $7K and $9K on the car, AFTER taxes and import fees. We're starting to ship cars up ourselves, now, to meet demand.
The border station he went through said they're getting, on average, 120 cars per day coming up into Canada. That's just ONE border station!

it was funny too, all of the customers asked if there was a way to switch the odometer to km's from miles, and there isn't. just on the speedo

The weak dollar is to blame.
My dad was telling me that he is having a hard time shipping food overseas (his line of business) and that shipments are booked from now until well into January because so many people overseas are making use of the weak dollar.

You can switch between kilometers and miles for all of the functions. The odometer and the speedometer both change when you hit the button. At least, they both change on my 2004 AP2.
I didn't have time to read the whole thread, but can someone tell me how to get in contact with the Canadians? Ebay or something? My roomate has a ton of crap in his car here in the US, so if Canadians are buying the crap out of cars from the US, he's got some money coming
About 5 years ago, I was planning to buy a 350Z from Canada because it was cheaper (the dollar was still stronger back then too). I even had a connection in Canada too, but I opted not to go through with it. It would've saved me about $5K though.
