And let's not forget that John Wayne played a Mongol. (With a Texan twang, no less!)

(What? You forgot about his portrayal of Gengis Khan in "The Conqueror"? A truly (un)forgettable film!)

in the national kabuki theater the actors are japanese...BUT THEY'RE ALL GUYS!!!!!the "onnigata" specialize in female roles....oh yeah...was yul brynner a siamese king, a wild west cowboy [recreating a samauri role] or a robot gone amuck???...geeze mingster, loosen up..it's only show biz....

BTW...if one were to insist on ethnic purity in movie and tv casting,we never would have seen "planet of the apes"...come to think of it that might not have been so bad.....

Interesting - I'm an English born Australian and scored 5 out of 12. My wife, who is Japanese, correctly picked only 4 !!

That's funny, I had the exact same result. The difference being that I'm a caucasian/asian American. My wife was complaining that they were deliberately changing the look of some of the participants (by make-up or clothes) to mislead.

I'm Korean and I normally can tell who are who but I got only a 5 out of 12.

Some of the people were kinda hard because they had glasses and were making weird faces and stuff like that.

But anyways, those people might not be full Japanese, Korean or Chinese.

Sheesh, chill out! It's just acting, and even at that, it's only TV. If she can act, and fits the role who cares what country she's from? Seriously people, if you walk around getting offended by small stuff like this you must be pretty depressed most of the time...

PS - Who was your favorite Bond? (answer carefully...) And don't tell me it's not the same thing...
