Default Car alarms? Do you really notice and care?

I had a discussion with a friend of mine tonight on the effectiveness of car alarms. The subject finally came up on what you would do if someones car alarm went off and someone was in the car jacking stuff or messing with it. Alarm noise now is pretty common. If your in a hurry or the car is at a distance then you probably wouldn't notice. If you did see a car alarm going off and some people trying to break in would you personally do anything to stop it (IE call the cops, notes, or even confront) or would you just walk by? The ignoring part probably does happen alot I'm assuming.

I would yell at the guy and say that a cop was coming, and I would walk away and then call the cops and give a description of his bitch ass so hopefully they will throw his ass in jail. If it was my car, or someone that I know's car, that fool what be gettin an ass whoopin.

If an alarm goes off, I usually don't give it a look.

But if I was to happen to notice a car getting broken into, alarm going off or not, I'd try to take some pics with my camera phone before calling the police.

I tend to ignore alarms going off.

If I DID notice something, I would call the cops.

This is why I bought a two-way pager alarm. That way if my alarm is triggered, I know about it.

I just about always look in the direction the sound is comming from, even when I'm driving and hear the alarm form some parking lot. If i ever caught someone breaking into a car i would without a doubt confront them about it.

I'm usually the one setting off the alarms when I drive by with the Spoon N1 haha...

But normally whenever I hear an alarm I usually look, and if I did see someone breaking into a car I would definately call the police. Just hope someone would do the same if they ever saw it happening to my car (and hopefully it never will). My old civic was stolen twice... I hate car theives

I notice car alarms. they annoy the hell out of me. Usually I just want to break the window of the car that has one with the sensitivity turned up so high that they always are going off.
