How do we figure that out? I know it has to do with the mill rate and the price of the car and what not. Can anybody help!? I never owned a car before that I had to pay taxes on.

multiply your town's mill rate by the car's blue book value. that tells you how much you have to pay every year. Not sure how Milford's mill rate compares to Middletown, but i;m figuring abot $1000 for this year.

Click the link. But if your to tired to move the mouse here it is:

A mill is equal to $1.00 of tax for each $1,000 of assessment. To calculate the property tax multiple the assessment of the property by the mill rate and then divide by 1,000. For example, a property with an assessed value of $50,000 located in a municipality with a mill rate of 20 mills would have a property tax bill of $1,000.00 per year.

And you pay property tax on the car as well?
I'm so glad I'm not living in that state.

Actually the mill rate for middletown is only 20% Milford is 31.06!!!! Which works out to be 931 dollars for my car valued at 30,000 dollars.

Anybody have the blue book value for our car!?

So frank will only pay like 650 for his car at most!
