Yup. That's the headline in todays LA Times. Apparently someone had their 355 GTS valet parked at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Nigel and the 20 year old valet decided to take it on a little joy ride. He smashed the car into a palm tree only 30 feet from the hotel entrance. The car may be a total loss.

and I take it the guy lost his job?

hence, why I dont valet...ever! I'd rather walk a mile. I wish there were such devices that would disable vtec with a valet key, but that would be another dollar to every car. ahhh well.

If I'm not mistaken the new generation corvettes have a valet switch which shuts down 4 cyl., so hence you are driving a 4 cyl. corvette.

Wanna get away? This reminds me of those Southwest Airliner commercials.

Made the Houston Chronicle as well.

Oh, and Schatten, that ferrari you saw with the baby seat probably did belong to the guy we know. I've only met him once but my husband knows him and has seen the baby seat as well. It's his daily driver and he also races it often.

After reading the article in the LA Times, that makes me wonder about last couple times I valet parked my S2K in SF.
