Default cardio

I saw the Wii Fit thread so I'll throw this one out as well. How does everyone take care of their cardio? Inside the gym, I'll try different things but always come back to the eliptical machine. Unlike a treadmill, I really don't have to think (ie worry about stepping off the tread). It seems to burn more calories than the stationairy bike. And I like the movement better than the rowing machine. Now that its summer, I'll be doing more outside stuff but this is more of a supplement rather that a replacement for me.

Also, do you do low-intensity long duration (fat burning) or high-intensity short duration (aerobic)?

cross train and vary your workouts.
if your knees can handle running outside, i think it would be more effective.

I bike 20 miles every other day. Biking can for sure be both low - intensity, high duration and high-intensity low duration.

I do HIIT and switch between an elliptical and sationary bike,

Can't stand low intensity I'm bored after 15 minutes and have had better fat burning results with HIIT training plus very little catabolic muscle loss if any at all.

I do my cardo 3 days a week. I first run 4 miles, around a 7:15/mile pace. Then I head to the stationary bike for 30 minutes and do some HIIT. So all together its just 1 hour.

High Intense Intervals are what I do. Usually a treadmill by doing a sprint at high speed and then resting 90 seconds then going to a fast walk at an incline and repeating. Those will burn blubber quicker and keep your metabolism going for at least 36 hours. I play basketball also and it works well.
